Virginia has a sanctuary problem
Article brings up decent points, but I could do without the political gotcha directed to Ds. If local governments feel the need to enact sanctuaries (I.e., ignoring legitimately passed laws), state and federal legislatures need to do better taking into account all their constituencies, not just their base. Ignoring the sanctuary movement (e.g., nevertheless proceeding with radical gun control) is a recipe for furthering our political divide. Likewise, local governments and citizens need to have a better relationship with legislators so that we don’t resort to ignoring legitimately passed laws.
I would be shocked to see this pass. VA has very strong pro gun constitution.
